Customer Notes

Every customer here will send you forward. Beneath the water, there are several "hidden" customers you'll want to pick up in this area.

  • Sea Side Market drop-offs
When pulling into this area, execute a Crazy Drift so that you can see Customer 12. Pick up 12 when it's light-green to go to either Popcorn Mania or FILA. If 12 is not light-green, drive up the slope around the corner to the right and pick up Cable Car Slopes Customer 9 instead. Once these two are picked up, feel free to pick up 15 or 16 (red to Yacht Harbor, yellow to Popcorn Mania or FILA) or choose between underwater 1 (to Pizza Hut) or 2 (to FILA).
  • West Side Beach drop-offs
This is my favorite place to drop-off passengers because customers are so abundant here. After my first drop-off, I always head underwater to pick up light-green Customer 4 (to the Levi's Store). After that, it's a virtual smorgasboard of destinations. Yellow Customers 6, 7, 8, and 9 all go to the Square Park area. You can head underwater again to collect Customers 5 (to KFC) and 3 (to Tower Records). Across the street, pick up 14 when it's light-green (to the Levi's Store) or 13 when it's yellow (to Popcorn Mania). Also, around the corner heading towards Yacht Harbor, you can pick up 10 when it's light-green (to Tower Records). If you're really lucky, you can also get 11 when it's light-green (to KFC) or yellow (to the Levi's Store).

Additional Notes...

  • A good way to stop at West Side Beach from the street is to Crazy Drift into a semi-u-turn so that your cab skids into the lifeguard tower at the far corner of the drop-off zone. It will come to an immediate stop, and you'll be in a better position to pick up many of the customers. You'll also want to Crazy Drift and/or Crazy Tailspin so you're facing the "exit" when picking up Customers 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, and any of the underwater ones.
  • It's possible to view Customer 10 when stopping at the corner of West Side Beach drop-off zone that's closest to it, but it's necessary to drive a little further to see 11. One way to hedge your bets is to drive towards these two when you see that 10 is light-green. There's a decent chance that 11 will be yellow and want to go to the Levi's Store. If luck is on your side, you can pick up yellow 11 and save 10 for the next time you see it's light-green. If not, grab 10 and leave 11 completely up to chance later.
  • (for advanced and expert players)
The water slows down your cab a lot, but only when you're trying to accelerate in it. If you already have a lot of speed when you reach the beach area, instead of navigating through traffic, enter the water instead. The little rocks some of the customers are on can be used to your advantage. If you execute a Crazy Drift at just the right angle over the rocks, you can skid for nearly 3/4 of the length of the harbor! You'll earn tip money just like you would normally, but each rock you skid over will act like a mini-ramp. Because your wheels don't contact the ground as long, this will extend the length of your skid without slowing you down nearly as much. It's a great way to run up the Tip Multiplier that doesn't use up a lot of time (when done correctly).

There are two ways you can set this up from the Cable Car Slopes area. One is to Limiter Cut like crazy towards Cable Car - Bottom, then Crazy Drift and hit the wall (aiming your cab to the left). Your cab should become wall-stuck, and you'll still have a good deal of momentum in the forward direction. Once the wall ends, you'll be thrown onto the sand and can head underwater towards those rocks. The other way is to get onto Freshtree Street and Limiter Cut down that, then head towards the water by driving to the left of the ramp truck at the bottom of the slope. BTW, when West Side Beach is not your customer's destination, be sure to slow down a bit before taking the corner near Customer 10 so you don't hit any vehicles and lose the high tip value you just built up!
